About Us

Mock trial uses substantive law process to help you develop an understanding of court proceedings within the judicial process. As a team member and fellow mocker, you will learn techniques used to address the courtroom, deliver Opening Statements, Witness Direct and Cross Examinations, as well as Closing Arguments. You will learn the rules of evidence and how to apply them to civil and criminal cases. Working one-on-one with our coach, team captains, and working with small "modules" we will help you to learn the basics of litigation and have fun in the process! *In accordance with University of Minnesota Policy, all students are welcome to join and participate in this group's activities as members or supporters, regardless of identity*
