Maria Lechtreck, PhD

Academic Advisor

Dr. Lechtreck joined the UMD psychology faculty in August 2023. Her teaching vision is to inspire students in psychology and beyond to grow as critical thinkers and life-long learners who use compassion, wisdom, creativity, and courage to make a better world for all. She loves meeting and chatting with students and is an advocate for women, people who are neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. In her free time, she loves nature and the outdoors, museums, and non-fiction reading!
