About Us
The Panhellenic Council (PHC) is comprised of four UMD sororities. The Panhellenic Council exists to develop and maintain sorority life and interfraternal relations. The organization promotes scholarship and leadership development while disseminates information important to sorority women to the chapters. PHC is the coordinating body for Primary Sorority Recruitment Week. PHC is led by 5 student leaders who make up the Executive Board. Each executive position is a member of a sorority at UMD and represents the interests of the community at large. They are elected at the end of the fall semester and serve a one-year term. Additionally, each chapter has a designated woman, known as the Panhellenic Delegate, that attends meetings. *As allowed under the Title IX exemption for social fraternities and sororities, this organization may limit membership to a single gender*
