About Us
The reason we exist is to bring the Gospel to every corner of life at UMD. The Newman House is always open, and students are welcome to stop by at any time to take part in the many opportunities we offer to seek the Lord through study and knowledge and to encounter Him daily in the Sacraments. The schedule is subject to change (check our GroupMe), but this is our typical weekly schedule: Sunday Mass: 10:30am in the Kirby Ballroom 6:00pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary Daily Mass at Newman: Monday- 8:00am Tuesday - 5:30pm Wednesday - 7:00pm Thursday - 5:30pm (Cathedral) Friday - 12:05pm Reconciliation: The Sacrament of confession is available 30 minutes prior to the start of every daily Mass and 45 minutes prior to every Sunday Mass. Bible Studies are offered almost daily and are led by our FOCUS Missionaries and student leaders. OCIA: For those that are interested in learning more about our faith or becoming Catholic, OCIA is offered Tuesday nights at 7:00pm. Retreats: What better way to know who we are and who we are meant to be than by knowing Him who made us! We provide multiple retreat opportunities to students every year. Retreats provide an opportunity for students to go away for a weekend and spend time in prayer and fellowship with other young Catholics. All of our retreats provide a clear proclamation of the Gospel, an opportunity to go to confession, daily Mass, a time of adoration and praise and worship *In accordance with University of Minnesota Policy, all students are welcome to join and participate in this group's activities as members or supporters, regardless of identity*
