Happy January!
I hope your winter break was relaxing and fun! We are going to try this Greek Life newsletter thing again!
Our newsletter will highlight our Greek Life chapters on campus each month, including any significant events coming up. We will also highlight any fun facts, interesting related news, and any educational opportunities or articles relating to Greek Life.
I hope this not only showcases each chapter but also provides each member an opportunity to learn something new.
Our Councils
This spring our Greek Council and Panhellenic Council E-Boards are working to create more engagement and excitement for Greek Life at UMD! They are working on fun events, workshops, and speakers to get Greek Life more engaged with their community!
Alpha Delta
Our Nu Mu chapter of Alpha Delta participated in several volunteer opportunities such as highway clean up and helping out at SafeHaven! In addition to this they also initiated 2 new members to their chapter and they have 1 member on the Greek Council E-Board!
Beta Lambda Psi
Our local chapter, Beta Lambda Psi, participated in several different volunteer opportunities around Duluth! This fall they also intitated 2 new members to their sorority and they have 1 member on the PHC E-Board!
Phi Kappa Psi
This fall our Minnesota Delta chapter of Phi Psi initiated 3 new members into their fraternity! They also hosted a blood drive in fall semester, as well as participated in a Phi Fast with donations to the Damino Center!
Alpha Nu Omega
This fall our local chapter, Alpha Nu Omega, welcomed 4 new members to their fraternity! They also have 1 member on the Greek Council E-Board! In addition, they also volunteer their time frequently as Sober Cabs for other students!
Gamma Zeta Pi
This fall our local chapter, Gamma Zeta Pi, welcomed 8 new members to their sorority! They also have 1 member on the, newly formed, Greek Council E-Board!
Phi Sigma Sigma
The Iota Zeta chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma raised over $15,000 at their annual fundraising banquet for their partner school, Stella Maris! They also have 3 members on the PHC E-Board! In addition to their impressive fundraising and leadership commitments they also welcomed 11 new members to their chapter.
Alpha Sigma Tau
This fall our Epsilon Chi chapter of AST welcomed 14 new members to their sorority! In addition, they also have 3 members on the Panhellenic Council (PHC) E-Board.
Kappa Xi Delta
This fall our local chapter, Kappa Xi Delta, initiated 4 new members to their chapter!
Tau Kappa Epsilon
This fall the Upsilon Gamma chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon raised over $112,000 at their annual fundraising banquet for St. Jude! They also have 4 members on the Greek Council E-Board! In addition to their incredible fundraising efforts and leadership they also welcomed 16 new members to their chapter.
