Good morning everyone,
Happy Friday! Thanks so much to everyone who came to our meeting last night. Looking forward, our next meeting will be on Thursday, October 22, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, in KAML 116. We will be starting our next book,
The Bog Wife by Kay Chronister, and we're planning to read part one ("Summer"), which ends on page 87 (in my copy).
The UMD library is in the process of purchasing five copies of
The Bog Wife for book club members to check out. If you don't have the book yet, ask for a copy at the ciruclation desk on the first floor of the library. We also have the ability to purchase a few copies, so please reach out if you're interested in that.
Last night, we also talked about our new pen pal exchange with the book club at Drake University. If you've finished writing your letter, please bring it to our next meeting or contact one of us (ocon0701@d.umn.edu and gerdt035@d.umn.edu), and we'll mail it for you. If you haven't filled out the form yet but would like to be matched with a pen pal, just email us and we'll send you the link.
Finally, the UMD library is currently running a survey encourgaing students to suggest books or games for purchase. You can fill out the survey as many times as you like, and if you leave your contact information, they will inform you whether or not they purchase the material you request.
