Subject: Reading Schedule Adjustment

Hi everyone!

We realized that the reading schedule in last week's email might need a bit of clarification. Namely, we forgot to include the prologue, so we're going to adjust the schedule as follows:

September 23rd: Prologue and Chapter 1 (through p. 62)

October 7th: Chapters 2 and 3 (pp. 63-112)

October 21st: Chapters 4 and 5 (pp. 113-174)

November 4th: Chapters 6 and 7 (pp. 175-220)

November 18th: Chapters 8 and 9 (pp. 221-266) or finish the book (through p. 287)

December 2nd: Finish the book (if we haven't already)

*Note: the page numbers are specific to one copy of the book (Hanover Square Press, 09 July 2024) and will not apply to all copies. The chapter divisions will be the same for all copies, so those are much more reliable reference points.

If you don't have a copy of the book yet, don't worry! You don't have to finish the reading to attend the meetings, and you're also welcome to read ahead. For some ideas about where to get the book, here are the links from our last email:
To get it from the UMD library
From Thrift Books

We also recommend the Duluth Public Library as a source for physical, digital, or audiobook copies. The DPL provides access to Libby, which is a great resource for ebooks and audiobooks.

Finally, a quick reminder: our next meeting with be on Tuesday, September 23, 7:15 pm to 8:15 pm. As you can see from the schedule above, we'll meet every two weeks at the same time and same place (KAML 116, down the hall past the University Honors lounge on the first floor of the library).

We can't wait to discuss the first few chapters with you all on Tuesday! As always, please reach out to either of us with any questions.

See you soon,
Nicole and Mia
