Engineers Without Borders Fundraising Gala

(EWB-UMD), I am delighted to invite you to attend our annual Fundraising Gala and Silent Auction on
September 19, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. in the Civil Engineering Building at the University of
Minnesota Duluth.

This special evening will bring together students, alumni, faculty, community members, and local
business leaders to celebrate the impact of sustainable engineering and community-driven service.
Guests will enjoy a silent auction, refreshments, and opportunities to learn more about EWB-UMD's
local and international projects.

Over the past year, our chapter has continued to make a meaningful difference both abroad and here in
Duluth. In Kenya, we are partnering with the community of Kirengo to improve access to clean water
through the construction of a sustainable water distribution system. Locally, we have launched a sharps
disposal initiative aimed at improving public safety through thoughtful engineering and community
collaboration.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public. While there is no cost to attend, a voluntary
donation of $10 is recommended to help support our projects and student travel. All proceeds from
donations and silent auction bidding will directly fund EWB-UMD's efforts to create sustainable
engineering solutions both locally and internationally.

Whether you are a longtime supporter or are learning about our organization for the first time, we would
be honored to have you join us for an evening of community, connection, and impact.
