Spring Into Service 2025

Join UMD SGA and UMD Engage to take part in an Earth Week Community Clean-Up. This clean-up is an opportunity to care for the community we love and call home. Join us in Ordean Court at 4pm to pick-up supplies and form groups. All needed supplies provided, please dress for the weather!

Come join the Kirby Program Board and UMD Engage to kick off Spring Fest with service activities around Duluth! Service locations and times are to be announced.

Hosted by UMD Engage and the Institute on the Environment Duluth, this event is an opportunity to network over lunch and ideate on possible campus-community collaborations with community organizations in the Twin Ports.

Participating organizations include the American Lung Association, Citizens' Climate Lobby, City of Duluth, Conservation Minnesota, Damiano Center, Ecolibrium3, Family Rise Together, Grandma's Marathon, Ignite Empower Transform, Life House, Lincoln Park Children and Families Collaborative, Northland Adaptive Recreation, and Safe Haven Shelter & Resource Center.

This event, hosted by UMD Engage, the Career Center, University Honors and SERVE, will connect you with post-graduate service opportunities. Participating organizations include local Duluth AmeriCorps programs, statewide and national service programs, and the Peace Corps. Careers in national service can be found here in Duluth, across the country, and internationally. Come find where service can take you!

Spend 5 nights at the YMCA’s Camp Miller in Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota! Over spring break, take part in service projects at Camp Miller and enjoy the camp’s wide variety of fun activities such as snowshoeing, skiing, target sports, bonfires, and camp games. The cost of this Break Away will include food, lodging, and transportation. Registration is required. Cost and registration details to be announced!

This fair is an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to connect with community partners serving the needs of our Duluth community. Meet representatives from over 20 local community organizations to learn about available volunteer positions this spring!
