About Us

Greek-lettered organizations, starting out as honors societies, have been a part of UMD's history since 1933 (before UMD was even UMD). The first social Greek-lettered organization came to campus in 1950. Greek Life is now home to over 200 members and 8 organizations. As well as two governing councils. Our mission is to form an inclusive group of dynamic leaders who excel academically and professionally in everyday life, through a positive work ethic, community service, and academic drive.
