About Us
Hello! If you enjoy reading and are looking for a community of book lovers, this is the place for you! We will be reading about one or two books per semester and will be meeting every other week to chat about the book. Let me know if you are interested or have questions! ocon0552@d.umn.edu Here is our schedule for fall 2024: Toni Morrison's Beloved 9/5 - Chapter 8 9/19 - Chapter 14 10/3 - Chapter 20 10/17 - Chapter 25 10/31 - Conclude Beloved and begin talking about Interpreter of Maladies 11/14 - TBD 11/28 - TBD We meet every other Thursday from 6 pm to 7 pm in KAML 116 starting the 5th of September. If you're wondering what the meetings are like, usually it's just us chatting and sharing our thoughts about what we are reading at the moment. We'll do the actual reading outside of the meetings. We have a huge variety of majors and are happy to have different perspectives. Every so often, we'll partner with KAML or other UMD clubs and organize some events and this is a fantastic way to get involved on campus and meet some of our wonderful library staff.
