About Us

Society of Women Engineers is open to all students who are interested in learning more about the role women play in a professional setting. Our mission is to empower women to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders, to promote the engineering profession as a positive force for improving quality of life, and to highlight the value of diversity. The UMD SWE chapter participates in regional and national conferences, hosts guest speakers from engineering companies, organizes outreach events with the Duluth community, and holds social gatherings throughout the year. *In accordance with University of Minnesota Policy, all students are welcome to join and participate in this group's activities as members or supporters, regardless of identity*
