About Us

We are the Society of Physics Students (Physics Club). The SPS Hosts Colloquiums with professors in the field of Physics and Astronomy on a level that everyone can enjoy and learn! We discuss physics and engage in fun activities including but not limited to movie nights, game nights, trivia/jeopardy events, fun projects such as building atmospheric weather balloons and playing around and learning to use various instrumentation (such as Raspberry Pi). We have pizza at every meeting! Our SPS Chapter holds community in high regards and participates in various outreach events both on and off campus, such as bringing scientific equipment to local grade schools and giving a science show. We hope to see you at our next meeting!
