About Us
Our goal is to create sustainable relationships with our environment and the world around us, starting with our local food system here in the Great Lakes region. We pursue projects at the UMD Land Lab farm that allow us to increase food security, sovereignty, and local organic produce in our area. We currently have several projects in progress including: mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, composting, edible forest gardening, biochar research, and much more! We also want to spread awareness about the UMD Land Lab and encourage other students and community members to visit the farm to learn more about sustainable farming techniques. Building relationships and engaging with the community is a very important aspect of our overall purpose.
